We care deeply about producing quality products and having a positive impact on our employees, the community, and the world.
This certification provides assurance that our produce has been grown using recognized levels of quality and safety. It also ensures that our farm respects the environment and practices good land stewardship.
GRASP is voluntary, ready-to-use training module developed to assess social practices on the farm, such as specific aspects of workers’ health, safety, and welfare. Sunripe Farms addresses important social issues and builds awareness at farm level.
This internationally recognized training system our team completed
reduces the risk of safety hazards in food from biological, chemical or physical sources.
The BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance of Global Standards) evaluation system is used throughout the whole supply chain, to reflect the food hygiene practices of each food business operator. Our team at Sunripe is trained to be thorough and scrutinize every possible area where hygiene and safety could be compromised.
In partnership with the Sage Community Foundation, Sunripe Farms provides services to it's employees and the local community designed to help them thrive at work and in life.
The Sunripe Demo Plot was established in 2017 to cater to the training of the most vulnerable members of our community by sharing of hands on skills and experiences.
In collaboration with Women for Women International, Sunripe has provided an opportunity for 200 women to complete an 18 month training course that addresses agricultural as well as social issues.
The farm holds semi-annual exhibitions to showcase produce grown at the farm as
a motivation to incorporate modern techniques that allow for
subsistence farming to provide a future income.
With electricity, well water, drip irrigation, a water dam, and six greenhouses, our advanced systems and equipment ensure that water is used optimally in the growing of our crops.
